Description Dmitri Fedoruk 2007-01-22 10:39:54 UTC
Version: amarok-1.4.4-6.fc6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

Amarok happens to consume all CPU, independetly of working in tray or in a maximised window.

It is not the collection scanning, it doesn't report any other background jobs. It is an mp3 playback.

When being told to exit from menu, it removes its icon from the system tray, but still continues playback and CPU consuming. Process has to be killed manually.

The thing is it may work normal, and then surprisingly start this behaviour; or it can do this from the first playback, so it is hard for me to say explicitly how to reproduce it.

Packet versions:
kernel-2.6.18-1.2869.fc6
amarok-1.4.4-6.fc6
xine-0.99.4-10.lvn6

I haven't seen anything similar to this yet. Does this bug still happen for you or did it vanish after upgrading your version of amarok, xine or the kernel?

Closing due to lack of feedback.
