Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17.13-ubuntu1-617i I'm trying to print http://www.angelfire.com/co/cubo/resumen.html, so I press the print button once the page is loaded, then ok... ... a new window opens: "Printing status - konqueror", showing the following content: "S'està imprimint el document: http://www.angelfire.com/co/cubo/resumen.html S'estan generant les dades d'impressió: pàgina 1" ("The document is being printed: http://www.angelfire.com/co/cubo/resumen.html. Generating printing data: page 1"), ... then konqueror crashes with no warning nor error. The "Printing status - konqueror" windows still remains, but nothing is being printed.
Cannot reproduce (printed to file). Kubuntu breezy, svn 620k. Do you see any debug output if you start konqueror from xterm/konsole?
Yes, there's some output from konsole: ----- quini@quinilg:~$ konqueror X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168 Major opcode: 145 Minor opcode: 3 Resource id: 0x0 Failed to open device X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168 Major opcode: 145 Minor opcode: 3 Resource id: 0x0 Failed to open device Segmentation fault ----- Hope that helps ;)
Confirmed. My Konqueror hangs when trying to print the page. Memory uses goes up forever; I killed it when it surpassed 800 MBytes in fear it would freeze all the machine. SUSE-10.0 RPMs of KDE 3.5.5 here. That URL has a lot of JavaScript embedded, plus at least one Shockwave/Flash file. Also, it does not validate (13 errors): http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.angelfire.com%2Fco%2Fcubo%2Fresumen.html Does Firefox print it? Opera?
Yes, both firefox and opera can print it: quini@quinilg:~$ apt-show-versions |grep opera opera/etch uptodate 9.10-20061214.6 quini@quinilg:~$ apt-show-versions |grep firefox/edgy firefox/edgy uptodate 2.0.0.1+0dfsg-0ubuntu0.6.10
I can no longer reproduce this on 3.5.9 as well as on trunk r798768.
Hi. Yes, I cannot reproduce under Kubuntu 7.10 & Kde 3.5.9 either. I'm marking it as resolved. Thanks.
