Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-3-686 The tree sidebar of Konqueror show a "+" sign before folder's name that contains subfolders. If these subfolders are symbolic links, the "+" only appears after you browsed one of them.
Can not reproduce.
maybe it's because your folder also contains subfolders that aren't symlinks. It only happens if the folder contains nothing but symlinks subfolders.
i've noticed that the bug is only present when using the "home" sidebar and it doesn't appear with the "system" sidebar
Created attachment 20648 [details] Screenshot of the bug Here is a screenshot of the small bug in action !
The but is still valid using 3.5.9. Anyway it has been fixed on KDE 4 using the tree view panel on dolphin but not on the Konqueror sidebar.
Assigning to sidebar.
This bug has returned in Dolphin 2.0, KDE SC 4.8.2 (Ubuntu packages) A symlink to a folder cannot be expanded in the folders panel.
Created attachment 71370 [details] Folder containing symlinks Sorry, the problem is not exactly what I've described in comment #7. Actually, the folder can not be expanded in the tree in folders panel if its contents are symlinks to other folders. The parent folder itself does not have to be a symlink. See attachment - the folder named "Fotografias pessoais" is a real folder, not a symlink. However, all the folders in it are actually symlinks to folders. The parent folder can't be expanded in the tree in the folders panel.
(In reply to comment #7) > This bug has returned in Dolphin 2.0, KDE SC 4.8.2 (Ubuntu packages) > A symlink to a folder cannot be expanded in the folders panel. Could you please report this to Dolphin in that case? Unless you tested it with the most recent Konqueror version as well, of course. In that case please specify the version this is last seen with.
Yes, this problem can be seen in Konqueror too (version 4.8.3, Ubuntu packages). I think Konqueror and Dolphin share the kparts related to file system navigation, don't they? If this is the case, solving the problem in one of them will solve it in the other too. Should I report this same bug to Dolphin?
Thank you for the fast feedback.
