Version: 1.4.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Example: library path: /home/MP3 folder location: /home/MP3/Thom_Yorke also soft-linked in: /home/MP3/Radiohead/Thom_York (ls -l in the /home/MP3/Radiohead/ folder :) lrwxrwxrwx 1 mudar users 20 2006-10-15 17:17 Thom Yorke -> /home/MP3/Thom Yorke when I access the Thom York album follwoing the link from the radiohead directory, the context browser says "file not included in collection" (it can play it, though) the address displayed in this case is : /home/MP3/Radiohead/Thom_Yorke/ (which is suposed to be included in my library path, so it should be in my collection) If I access it through the real address, /home/MP3/Thom_Yorke , no problem with the context browser. Thank you for the great job you've done with Amarok... I LOVE IT...
comment from KDE bugsquad member I can confirm this for 1.4.9.1 and it seems to be there in Amarok2 trunk r820602 as well though there it's clouded by some general problem with the context browser.
Amarok resolves symlinks when adding files to the collection, we should probably resolve symlinks when checking to see if a file is in the collection for the applet. I'm pretty sure this happens in Amarok 2.
Sorry, Amarok 1.4.x is not maintained anymore. The current stable version is Amarok 2.1.1, available in KDE 4.
