Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.1 When opening an url in konqueror from outside it (for example, from the panel bookmark menu), and "open as tab in existing konqueror when URL is called externally" is checked in konqueror configuration, the URL is properly open in a new tab but the konqueror window is not raised. So, each time, one has to click on the taskbar to raise it (which is quite annoying). Such matters where discussed in (closed) bug 31916 and it seemed that setting "focus stealing prevention measures" to "none" in kcontrol solved the problem. But not for me !
Thanks for the bug report. Can this still be reproduced? I tried both Konqueror 3.5.9 (Kubuntu 8.04) and SVN trunk rev. 814843 with "open as tab in existing konqueror when URL is called externally" activated. If there is a Konqueror window on the same desktop as the external application (e.g., KMail), the URL is opened in a new tab and Konqueror is raised if necessary. If there is no Konqueror window on the desktop, a new one is opened in 3.5.9. The same is true in SVN, however, all Konqueror windows on other desktops crash, but this is a separate issue that should be filed in a new bug report (if this hasn't been done already).
I tested it both on debian lenny (KDE 3.5.9) and like you on kubuntu 8.04. The problem I raised seems to be fixed, everything works fine. So I'll close this bug report.
