Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.5.4, compiled sources) Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-5mdv I can not get Amarok to remember what folders to scan to build my Collection - therefore it does not build a Collection. When checking which folders for it to scan I never get the Apply button to activate. If I check the folders, then go somewhere else and make a change, just to activate the Apply button, it does seem to remember what folders to look through. However a Collection never gets built. I tried deleting all collection.* files and restarting, but no change. Using the default SQLight install from Mandriva
I can't reproduce this. Please upgrade to 1.4.4 and check if the problem is still valid.
Hi Mark, I just upgraded to 1.4.4 and choose MySQL as the database - I'll talk about that in a bit. Almost the same problem with this version - I still can't build a collection, however at least it 'remembers' which directories I selected for it to scan. That is an improvement! On the First Run Wizard - Amarok crashed twice when sitting on the Select Database screen (I did send one of the crash reports in). The only way to get passed this screen was to create the database and database user before running the wizard, if I paused too long on the screen Amarok would just crash.
one crash while waiting in the first run wizard was reported in bug 131721 and fixed. from the date it should have been in 1.4.4., but i'm not completely sure (amarok version announcements really, really need date ;) )
comment from KDE bugsquad member Karstyn, are you still having the problem you described? It seems noone was able to reproduce it so I'd be happy to hear it's vanished for you as well.
Closing due to lack of feedback.
