Description Marius 2006-12-12 15:53:29 UTC
Version: 1.4.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

If you have a playlist that is long enough to make the playlist area have a scrollbar in amarok 1.4.4 dragging files to a part of the playlist that does not currently show the selected item makes the playlist jump to where your selected item is. This means that if you were in a completely different part of the playlist you now have to go looking for the files you just added.

How to reproduce:
Add a lot of songs, (this bug is easier to see when you have a lot more than one "playlist height" of songs
Select the topmost item
Scroll down a few pages
Drag files over to the playlist
Notice how the playlist view jumps to the top
Go looking for your files a few pages down

This is still valid in amarok 1.4.5, although it doesn't even always go to your selection, it seems to go to the selection and then just up half a page.

I don't see why the playlist would move at all when you drag files to it...

I can't reproduce this problem in 1.4.9.1 and trunk r820602. It seems it was fixed.

Closed as fixed.
