Description fred 2006-12-09 14:51:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Method "Mount" with signature "ssas" on interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist
Comment 1 M. Steinborn 2007-03-03 14:07:18 UTC
I can confirm this bug on fedora core 5 and 6.

Communicating directly with hal by a selfmade python script shows that hal is working as expected.

The same for me, kde-3.5.6, hal-0.5.9.1, libata, on a LFS system.

hal-device-manager shows the correct device and volume (in my case /dev/sdb4), konqueror tries to mount the device, not the volume, then /dev/sdb instead of /dev/sdb4, indeed that "ssas" and "as" methods are in the volume capability, not in the device.
Comment 3 Martin Koller 2011-06-26 09:20:55 UTC
KDE 3.x is no longer maintained, and KDE4 has already dropped HAL.
If you still see this problem with current KDE >= 4.6.4, please reopen.
