Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp 1. Open Konqueror and perform an file search from root. 2. Whilst application is running open a windows of anything that will cover Konqueor. 3. Close the application window that was covering Konqueror 4. Konqueror will NOT re-draw the screen and if more windows cover it the more wll disapear. Attached file shows konqueror open. I would suspect that this same situation is true if Konqueror where covered whilst performing any task...??

I cannot reproduce with KDE 3.5.5, SUSE Linux 10.1. By "file search from root" you mean "Tools->Find File... then search in /", right?
Yes correct.Make it a search from root so it takes along time ;-)
Scott, can this still be reproduced, and if yes, with which KDE version? I cannot reproduce with KDE 3.5.9 (Kubuntu 8.04). In SVN trunk rev. 814843, there is no "Tools->Find File..." menu in Konqueror, but in Dolphin. It opens up a separate "Find Files/Folders" window, and this is redrawn if covered by another window and then uncovered again.
No user feedback for more than a month now, so I set that to RESOLVED/REMIND. Please feel free to reopen, if someone is able to reproduce that with a recent KDE version.
