Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 OS: Linux For some odd reason, left-clicking any link on the site http://www.dafont.com/ opens a new window in Konqueror. Statusbar doesn't say "... (new window)" when I hover the mouse cursor over the link. Ctrl + left-click opens link in a new tab as expected. I haven't experienced this with any other sites in Konqueror. Opera and Firefox doesn't open links in new windows.
I can reproduce with KDE 3.5.5, SUSE Linux 10.1. Looks like sloppy server configuration tho. When saved locally it works ok.
You can't scroll down as where example mp3 file is not found.
Created attachment 25127 [details] Test case The bug is gone in the current dafont.com page (all I write here applies to 3.5.9 and SVN trunk rev. 814843). The last archive.org version that is buggy is http://web.archive.org/web/20070410065559/http://www.dafont.com/: Clicking "New fonts" will open a new window or tab in Konqueror (but not in Firefox). The next available version works fine: http://web.archive.org/web/20070428005738/http://www.dafont.com/ The obvious difference in the HTML code of the two versions is that the first one has "<base target="_blank">" somewhere inside the body. This is a coding error - a <base> tag should only appear in the page head. I created a test case that essentially shows the same behaviour: Konqueror opens all links in new windows/tabs, Firefox only those that appear after the illegal <base> tag. This is not really a Konqueror bug - the HTML code of the page is invalid, so the browser behaviour is undefined.
Closing this as INVALID because the bug is in the old version of the dafont.com page, not in Konqueror.
Thank you for the good investigation, Frank :)
