Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: SuSE RPMs It just looks a bit ugly, it is especially true if you are doing something CPU-hungry -- Konqueror starts with default set of toolbars like it was just installed, thinks a bit, and then rearranges toolbars. Could it be, that rearragement is done before displaying?
There's a "minor" severity too, so you don't have to put it in the subject :-)
I can't see that happening with KDE 3.5.5, SUSE Linux 10.1. My system: AMD Sempron 2300+, 512MB RAM, GeForce FX 5500. I had this running during the test: stress --cpu 50 However, I have the vague memory of seeing it happen some time ago. Hmm...
Copy big file also before launching Konqueror. The awkward repainting happens not only in startup.
Can this still be reproduced? I changed the selection of toolbars using "Settings->Toolbars->..." both in 3.5.9 and SVN trunk rev. 814843, then closed Konqueror and reopened it with 'stress --cpu 200' in the background. This slowed down the system quite noticeably, but I didn't notice any problems with the toolbars - Konqueror did not show the default set of toolbars before showing those selected by me.
Frank, fixed indeed.
