Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I created a script for amarok yesterday. I worked on it at work today and uploaded the new (untested) version to my home computer. To preserve the changes I renamed the original home copy to whatever.rb.old and then copied the new copy over. When I created my archive at home and installed it I got two identical entries in the Script Manager. When I uninstalled one I was left with the other entry. I couldn't uninstall that entry no matter what I tried, and if I tried to run it then amarok crashed. It seems it would be useful to have some option in the spec file for the referenced file, or a spec file per executable file so they could be removed seperately if needs be. It'd also be useful to disallow two scripts with the same name... Or at least the same name/author. If two entries are added by the installation then two entries should be removed by the uninstallation to keep things in order.
outdated, will be closed
Amarok 1.4.x is in bugfix-only mode as development is focused on Amarok 2. Unfortunately your bug will very likely not get fixed, as the Amarok developers do not have the resources for it. Thank you for your report though. Please don't hesitate to report new bugs should you have any problems with Amarok 2 once it is released.
It was only a minor issue that probably wouldn't crop up in very many circumstances. I'm looking forward to Amarok 2. :)
