Description David Bremner 2006-11-14 17:15:28 UTC
Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-3 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-1-686

Maybe somebody wants to argue about whether this is a crash, but amarok becomes
non-responsive, e.g. won't refresh when maximized (but it does quit when terminated by the window manager)

This happens when a transfer of files to the media device is initiated when
the transfer button is partially or fully obscured. If the same file is transfered when the pane has been expanded, it transfers OK.

This does not happen if I transfer files that are already on the device.

I am transferring to an ipod nano 4GB

It seems quite reproducible for me; let me know if my description is not clear.

Sounds like a strange issue...

Man! I finally found this, it was driving me nuts. Yes, it happens 100% of the time for me too (amarok 1.4.4) when transfering files to my iPod. If I expand the panel so I can directly click on "transfer" without using the drop down "menu extension" thingy, it works like a charm.
Comment 3 Kevin Funk 2007-03-21 14:38:09 UTC
Still reproducible for you in 1.4.5? Is it reproducible with a non-Ipod player?
Comment 4 Marcelo Vanzin 2007-03-21 18:58:13 UTC
Yes it does happen on 1.4.5, with KDE 3.5.6 installed. I don't have a non-iPod player, so I can't test that.

I am unable to reproduce this in 1.4.9.1 with an Iriver T60 (generic).

Thanks for following this up. Marking as closed.

Apparently I don't have permission to reopen the bug, but this still happens with Amarok 1.4.9.1 (I'm using Ubuntu Hardy). I have an iPod, and to reproduce, just put some tracks on the transfer queue, and click "Transfer" in the extended sub-menu (the menu that shows up when you click the ">>" icon).

If you click the partically obscured Transfer icon directly, it works. It just hangs when using the sub-menu.
