Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) OS: Linux The option to resume playback on application startup may lead to duplicate (or even more) submission, and therefore to duplicate entries in your last.fm profile. That is, when playing a track up to half the play time or the first 4 minutes, the track is (correctly) submitted to last.fm. If Amarok is for some reason shut down after this submission and then restarted, the playback resumes and the track is (incorrectly) submitted once again after half the remaining time (or immediately after playback resumes - I cannot really tell - sorry). The easiest solution would be to set the 'skip' flag on resuming playback and thereby preventing submission even if the track had not already been submitted. After all, this behaviour seems to fit the last.fm guidelines for submission the best.
Dupe of bug 130440?
No, not at all! Bug 130440 is about last.fm streams showing up twice in the recent tracks list. This is about local files (not streams) which are submitted once again if Amarok was shut down after submitting the track the first time.
yes, i must admit this is one of the most annoying bugs ever
Yes! i was to report the same bug! glad to see already here ... yeah as said before, if resumed, don't submit ... goodluck
I confirm this bug for 1.4.9.1. Can't verify for 2.0-SVN because of #164156.
Can someone check this with current Amarok 2 please?
Yeah, seems to happen with Amarok 2 r857763, too. The tracks seems to be submitted after the playback finishes.
can't reproduce this anymore, so i'm closing. it doesn't really make sense--submission is done *only* at the end, and a track only ends once. re-open if you can reproduce.
