Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: FreeBSD Ports OS: FreeBSD If you click a link in a web page to download a file, Konqueror pops up a "Download" prompt for you to select where you want to store the file that you're about to download. But if you want to wait and leave this download prompt aside for a moment, you can't scroll the web page anymore in the background. For instance, access this page: http://everaldo.com/crystal.html and click one of the screenshots. Konqueror will open a pop up window with the screenshot. Don't close it. Now, click one of the download links, Konqueror pops up a "Download" prompt. Don't close it. Now, try scrolling down in the screenshot pop up window. You can't because Konqueror doesn't want to remove focus from the download prompt.
This is designed behavior with a modal dialog and still the case in KDE 4.6.3
