Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Settings dialog is so big then when I use permanent taskbar panel I cannot see the bottom. I have to allow taskbar to hide, use Konq.settings and set taskbar back to stay visible all the time.
What screen resolution are you using?
1024x768 with panel visible. And panel covers those three buttons. But Philip it is not the problem of resolution per se -- you can have 1600x1200 with big fonts, with big panel and you get the same effect. I work also on the second computer with 1400x1050 and hidden panel and settings are pretty big but I didn't notice that how much until I moved to another (mentioned above) computer. Konq. settings window are well designed to scale down I think so why not enable it for the user.
i tried the settings dialog and the others, can be resized down to 520x530, so should be no problem
595 here (height). The problem is not really this or that size, konq. settings should have scrollbars in right pane as well as it has in the left one (and be _fully_ resizeable). Otherwise it will be a surprise for someone that the dialog is too big and does not fit the screen.
Created attachment 28181 [details] settings dialog there is problem with the width as well, and the minimum size is set so big, I cannot resize it down
In KDE 4.6.3 I see a minimum size of about 912x517, and this is agains KDE's HIG: http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Usability/HIG/Dialogs "Design dialogs not to be bigger than 800x600 Pixels and should always be resizable"
