Description Charles A. Landemaine 2006-10-13 03:17:35 UTC
Version: 3.5.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD

This problem happens usually when you select text in a textarea with your mouse. It takes several seconds to react. For instance you type some text in a form, and you realize you made a mistake. You select the word with your mouse and you type to overwrite it, but Konqueror doesn't react for 10-20 secs and then suddenly all the text you typed while Konqueror was frozen appears in the textarea. Then everything goes back to normal.

When I deal with text in a form, I always cross my fingers hoping Konqueror won't freeze.

How do I find out? Actually this has bugged me since last year, and I decided to report it only yesterday!

Same problem with KDE 3.5.5- Konqueror don't respond to any mouse and keyboard input for 10 or more seconds and then works again normally.

Does anyone still see this problem with 3.5.9 or 4.x?
