Description findkobel 2006-10-08 00:21:33 UTC
Version: 1.2.4 (using KDE 3.5.4 "release 88.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-default

It would be nice, if one could mark all articles as read without opening Akregator's window. There could be this option in Akregator's icon context menu in the system tray!

Imho this is unnecessary and instead of adding new (almost) useless features we should try to clean-up the UI. For what would this feature be useful? If you actually want to mark all as read without even seeing what's going on in there perhaps we could add a DCOP/DBUS call for that.

What do you think about this wish Frank?

Well, there are sometimes just to many new articles and too much other work to do to. For example, if i have 500 unread articles, then i definitely not going to skim through all of them. In fact, it happens quite often to me.

thank you for your input ;)

I'm marking this as wontfix, as neither I or Frank Osterfeld found it necessary to be able to mark all feeds as read without even seeing what kind of articles for which feeds there's around.

You can always use the toolbar/menu entry for marking all feeds as read.
