Description Dima Ryazanov 2006-09-18 03:05:18 UTC
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.1 (Gentoo 4.1.1-r1)

OS: Linux

I have an mp3 player connected in the "Generic Audio Player" mode.

It has a bunch of folders: PICTURES, RECORD, music, system, etc. If I type something in the filter box, it seems to display only matches from the "Nirvana" folder that I added recently. I added more music later, but still, only Nirvana would show up. If I clear the search box, then, again, all of Nirvana music is displayed, but nothing else.

Also, erasing a keyword that has no matches has weird effects:
1. I type "lit" - only "Lithium" shows up (correct)
2. I add an "x" (making "litx") - nothing shows up (correct)
3. I erase "x" (back to "lit") - *all* of music is displayed, not just "Lithium". No other folders are present, though.

Looks like some keywords get stuck somewhere. Or, not all music is indexed properly?

I disconnected the device completely, and connected it back. After that, filtering keeps giving no results at all.

Feature still not present in amarok2.
Bug present in amarok 1.4.9.1

Unfortunately risk of regression would be to high in 1.4. Also we do not have the resources for it. I am therefore closing the report. Please test the media device support in Amarok 2 once it is released.

Thank you for your report.
