Version: 3.5.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu2~dapper1 ) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17.9 This really stinks. When I am moving mp3 files and there is a file in the dest with the same name. The "File Already Exists" dialog opens, and apparently there is a REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY long comment somewhere in the mp3 id3 that makes the window huge, beyond the desktop borders...I have a screenshot.

I don't get the contents of the tags shown in the "overwriting" window. Perhaps it's a kubuntu modification?

Unable to confirm using KDE 3.5.5 / Kubuntu 6.10. No Meta information appears when copying/overwriting .mp3 files. Brendan: Are you still able to reproduce this bug? If so could you give some more information on the steps you are using to copy the files (e.g. which view you are using - I see the list of files down the left hand side, but cannot reproduce this on my setup either). Thanks.

The list shouldn't matter. It's when an mp3 file has a huge ID3 tag (first, get one that has 10k characters in the comment field, etc.)...Without that, the bug will not be buggy...
I cannot reproduce it using 3.5.9 and 4: tags are not displayed.
