Description Gavin Hyde 2006-09-05 20:18:34 UTC
Version: 1.4.2 (transcode version .5) (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I'm using transcode .5. When I transcode a file with odd case (such as Cledus BUSTED!) it comes back in normal camel case (Cledus Busted!) instead of the source value even though I'm not specifying it to normalize the value. The file written looks ok but the id tags are changed. This is a more common case in artists (Tim McGraw -> Tim Mcgraw, Reba McEntire -> Reba Mcentire). This seems to be affecting the ipod playcount synchronization because it's not finding my songs in my playlist because the names appear different on the ipod vs my local machine.

That does not sound like an Amarok bug, but like a bug in transKode. CCing the its maintainer because of this.
