Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When i copy a file (using konqueror) to a FAT32 formatted partition, then the "Changed" file attribute is set to the current date/time. The type of source where i copy from seems to be irrelevant; it occurs for files copied from FAT32 and ReiseFS partitions. Expected behavior: the "Changed" file attribute should not be changed. (This is the behavior when copying files to a ReiserFS or ext3.) Interistingly, this seems to occur only for FAT32 partitions on a Harddisk. Partitions on USB-Sticks show the expected behaviour. Reproduce: select a file which has a date older than current, right mose click "Copy". Point to a folder on a FAT32 harddisk partition and right mose click "Paste". The copied file get the current date/time in the "Changed" attribute.
I can't confirm this for 3.5.9 and dolphin/trunk r809039. It seems to be fixed.
Closing this as it seems to be fixed in both 3.5.9 and current trunk.
