Description Evgeniy A. Dushistov 2006-07-03 18:56:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.1 (Gentoo 4.1.1)
OS: Linux

I used cups(1.1.23) and HP laserJet 1010(
HP LaserJet 1010 Foomatic/pxl1010 ).

Always when I print pdf document, kpdf eat the first several lines of page,
it is not depend on use I "lpd" in print dialog or "cups".
In preview all looks normal, but after print...

In the same moment Adobe reader 7.0 print all documents in right way.

gpdf 2.10 also print all documents in right way.

Do you still have the problem with a more recent KPDF version?

Yes, at now I used kpdf 3.5.7, and see the similar problem,
it eats top margins.
Also I should mention that promblems looks like not related to printer model,
at now I use Brother MFC 7820, and see the same problem.
Acrobat Reader print pdf as expected.

Well, i'm 99.99% sure it is your printer problem. The preview is the PS we send to the printer, if your printer driver is not able to convert the PS to something that looks like that it's the printer driver problem, not ours.

But if you want to make that 0.01% sure attach the document and I will test here.

KPDF is no longer maintained. If you think this is still a problem in Okular (KDE 4 successor of KPDF), please open a bug against poppler (the library Okular uses to render PDF) in bugs.freedesktop.org

Thanks for using KDE
