Version: 3.5.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Hey, Okay, loaded plugins: As far as I know, none. I run SimplyMEPIS 6.0 rc-1, but with most packages from ubuntu-dapper repository, all upgraded to newest version today. The problem (and how to reproduce): Try create a new folder, enter it and set the display-mode of konqueror to "tree view". Copy some random files into the folder. Create a few subfolders and copy some random files into these folders as well. Now, go back to the root-folder you initially created. Make sure all the subfolders are not fold out. Select all files in the directory, right click on one and select "Properties". Note the size calculated. Now, cancel and fold out all the subfolders and reselect all files, so all files and folders are selected. Now right-click again, go to properties and note the file-size. Now, the two filesizes you noted should be the same, no? Well, doesn't seem so, hehe. Tested this both on my local harddrive as well as on a ftp-server - actually I noticed this while I was connected to a ftp-server and I took the following two screenshots, showing the absurd situation: The folders closed/folded: http://img201.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bugscreen17ni.png The folders open/folded out: http://img388.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bugscreen24bg.png Regards, Morten Skyt
KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Cannot reproduce with KDE 4. Feel free to reopen if that is not the case for you with KDE, v4.7.4 or higher.
