Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: Linux I describe only my issue, but I would like to request the the configuration of mouse buttons in general, which would also resolve the feature request of extra mouse button usability. The following applies to web browsing mode. MMB automatically opens a link in a new window. I would like it to act like the default in Opera, i.e. open it in a new TAB in the BACKGROUND. Others probably want to do the same, but in the foreground. Note that this should be separate from any other page/tab preferences.
You can already do this: "open links in new tab instead of new window" and, under advanced, select "open new tabs in the background".
That does not entirely resolve the feature request. For example, now I cannot open specific links via the context menu in a new tab in the foreground (I would have to change the setting each time I want to do this). Also, what about mouse button configuration?
I have different story but the same wish. The mouse buttons configuration is rather poorly designed. It says "do X" -- and says nothing about what happens if you don't want to do X. So please provide normal configuration, like this: Middle mouse button: (*) do nothing ( ) auto-scrolling ( ) open link in selection Such design is clear, no guesses and has ability to do nothing.
