Version: 3.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux i thought the porblem was similar to the bug 57408, but its not. in my case after copy-pasting the file the size and major part of the file remains the same. i use an external USB card writer to a MMC card (with FAT fs). generally use it to copy music on to the MMC for my phone. The files are .ogg and .mp3 format A few files are not copied properly and do not play correctly. in mp3 format you sometimes hear parts of the other song intermixed with the other and sometimes you hear just noise. in ogg files it mostly does not play. These problems are not related to the phone cause i have tested the copy on the computer itself. I have not tested it for ASCII files or any oter format of files. The way i test is i copy quit a few files and directories and then run 'diff' command on them. this sometimes shows differences in certain files ( not all). I am sure the problem is not with FAT or the USB writer or the MMC , cause i have tried using different cards and mainly.. it always works if i copy the files using the 'cp' command form the prompt. Hope this helps you guys. I am still not sure what exactly causes this, as it sometimes happens and sometimes doesnt.
To Nusli Are you still able to reproduce the bug? And have you ever experienced the problem when you have copied files from and to the harddisc ? (with no external drive involved)
