Description Nadav Kavalerchik 2006-06-21 09:04:55 UTC
Version: 1.2.3 (using KDE 3.5.3-4 Red Hat, Red Hat Linux (Bordeaux))
Compiler: Target: i386-redhat-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-1.2080_2.rhfc5.cubbi_suspend2

while using feeds part (akregator) to view one of my feeds i was trying to download a file from sf.net and insteed of being asked to save it to disk it was displayed inside the KHTML tab.
only when the tab was detached i could save the file to disk.

Can you give more information like which file exactly you tried to download?
Comment 2 Nadav Kavalerchik 2006-06-30 07:54:03 UTC
any file. with extentions like bz2, gz, rpm.
the file's content shows as text inside the khtml tab.
(normally it opens a "save dialog" or uses kget, on the same page, when used outside of akgregator)

confirmed. It happens here e.g. when trying to download liferea tar.gz archives. http://sourceforge.net/export/rss2_projnews.php?group_id=87005&rss_fulltext=1
I suppose it has something to do with redirection not handled correctly.
