Version: 3.5.3 (using KDE 3.5.3, compiled sources) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-davidb When I choose to download a file using Konqueror with Kget download manager, a save-as dialog appears. However, the choice of where to save does not. I click to save-as and the file goes to Kget. Its choice of directory (~ default) is used, which is OK but not always what i want.
Works for me on Ubuntu 8.04 with KDE 4.0.3.
I can't reproduce it exactly like you say in Kde 3.5.9 . What happens for me is, the first time you download a file be it in expert mode or not, it will ask you where to save it. If you are still in expert mode, it will not ask you the 2nd time, but something weird happens : If you previously saved in home folder, the 2nd time it will complain that will override /home/user , and if you cancel and try again, it will complain about overriding /home , and next time / . However this would mean a new bug report so I will close this one. Also, it is not reproducible in konq4 as there isn't an expert mode in kget too.
