Version: 0.11.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Mandriva RPMsMandriva RPMs OS: Linux Appears to be a re-invocation of Bug 97507. A non-SSL, password protected IRC connection fails even though the password is stored correctly in KWallet. First attempt to connect results in: "Kopete could not connect to any of the servers in the network associated with the accounnt (PRIVATE). Please try again later." Clicking ok, then clicking attempting to go online again leads nowhere (connection icon remains dark, no message). Third attempt yields same message as first. Selecting Properties for the connection shows the "remember password" checkbox checked, and a "***" password in the password field. Username is blank, Nick, alternate Nick, and Real Name are all filled in. Double clicking on the password field fails to highlight the existing "***" text in the box. Setting focus to the password box, backspacing over the existing stars, and typing the correct password works. After the correct password is typed, Right clicking on the connection icon and selecting Online creates a connection with no further problems. Problem has been duplicated with 0.11.2 and 0.12 with two different distros (Mandriva and Frugalware) Contact submitter for additional info or access information to a sample server for testing.
Bug remains in 0.12.1 in KDE 3.5.3. Still willing to support testing and will help confirm bug.
Bug remains in 0.12.3 in KDE 3.5.5 [releas 45.2 openSuSE10.2]. I could provide a sample server [running ircd shipped with Suse10.0].
