Description Frosch 2006-05-22 17:31:31 UTC
Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE 3.5.2, Debian Package 4:3.5.2-2+b1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.9

I'm using amarok over NFS shares (with mySQL as database plugin (locally stored database)) at home playing mp3s over wired 100 MBit LAN from a server, which itself is connected via DSL to the internet. My outbound connection speed allows me to play mp3 files using the same nfs shares at work, but is substantially slower (maximum outbound transfer rate is 70 kB/sec, enough for playing mp3s!)). This works pretty well except that amarok becomes very inresponsive when playing mp3s at work. It's just like that: You click on something and one or two seconds later this click is being processed. That holds for just everything inside amarok: The collection, the menus, the playlist, everything.

Do you still experience these lags?

Be aware though that Amarok 1.4.x is no longer actively maintained as all the focus is on Amarok 2.0

Closing for lack of feedback.
Amarok 1.4.x is not maintained anymore. Feel free to open any bug you might come across in Amarok 2.
