Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Sometimes Akregator fetch feeds and in one feed or two, it decides to duplicate the old news. See attachment. Even if a news is already present in the archives with the same title, the same date, the same content... it fetch the news again and mark it as new. Now, lot of news are duplicated! And recently, there was having ONE news in PlanetKDE that was always made new at each Akregator fetching of the feed. It was not duplicated but each time Akregator fetched PlanetKDE feed, a popup baloon informed me that one new news was added to the feed... and until the news was not in PlanetKDE feed....

Do you have an example feed url for the first bug? The second is a dupe of #101907 and fixed now: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101907
Today, I've got the same bug with this stream: http://wdirect.apple.com/main/rss/hotnews/hotnews.rss Attached is a screenshot of the "May, 19" duplicate entry. And the one in the first attachment is: http://www.cite-sciences.fr/rss/astro_fr_20.xml
Created attachment 16241 [details] The second duplicate entry bug I've got today
There are also all of my "A List Apart" news that appears in double: http://www.alistapart.com/rss.xml
I have yet another stream example: http://blog.bepointbe.be/rss.php The newest news of this stream is often marked as new periodically. Even when aggregated on http://planetkde.org/rss20.xml this top-first news is always marked as new, even if I read it! Please solve that bug, marking news as new or read is the primary goal of Akregator, so it should do it well!
Which version do you use? The "marking old articles as new" should be fixed in 3.5.3, see http://bugs.kde.org/101907 That doesn't affect problems with duplicates though.
I use version 1.2.2. Nice, I will upgrade. Oh yes, that'sd not the same problem as duplicates.
