Description richlv 2006-04-24 14:12:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

select several objects by holding shift or ctrl. press ctrl+x.
deselect the objects. the object that was last clicked on is not grayscaled to indicate that it will be cut, it is slightly lighter only.

Which view are you using?
I couldn't reproduce with 3.5.5 as this screenshot will show.
Comment 2 richlv 2006-10-20 09:26:13 UTC
3.5.4, as i don't have access to 3.5.5 yet :
icon view, icon size - huge, preview enabled for images & trying this with .jpg images.

Does the reporter have access to a version > 3.5.4 yet?
Comment 4 richlv 2007-05-17 15:14:26 UTC
unfortunately, not yet.
but i intend to upgrade in a month time, so maybe this can be set to some sort of 'pending' or simply left open until that time :)

still reproducible with 3.5.7.

icon view, huge icons.
previews enabled for images, using jpeg images, single click configured.

select single image by dragging from an empty space, then select another by holding down ctrl. press ctrl-x.
unselect images - second image is not correctly marked greyscale, but it becomes slightly lighter.

notice how second image (which was ctrl-clicked on after having first selected)

is visibly lighter, but not greyscaled.
also, it seems that this works only when using ctrl+x shortcut, was unable to
reproduce using menu shortcut.

also, i usually hold ctrl all the way through these operations (selecting
second image and then pressing 'x').

it seems that reproduction is more reliable if i don't move the mouse after
selecting second image, but i was able to reproduce this in both cases.

Cannot reproduce on 3.5.9.
Konqueror 4 uses the dolphin_part for file management which is working right too (quite right, I'll report a separate bug for a strange dolphin behaviour).

Could you confirm that the bug has been solved on 3.5.9?
Comment 9 richlv 2008-05-07 16:07:55 UTC
STILL reproducible.
just upgraded to 3.5.9.
doesn't happen always. i'll try to note exact steps that always work for me.

have 3 images in a directory. drag-select the first one, ctrl-click select the second one, ctrl-x (greyscales correctly).
drag-select the third image, ctrl-x (greyscales correctly).
drag-select the first one, ctrl-click select the second one, ctrl-x (greyscales INcorrectly).

Can't reproduce with kde 4.2.
Can the reporter still reproduce?
Comment 11 richlv 2009-02-23 08:52:54 UTC
if i could with 3.5.10, would anybody care ? :)
if there's little/no chance anybody would be interested in fixing this for 3.5, feel free to close as wontfix or something.
