Description jagginess 2006-04-19 23:24:57 UTC
Version: 3.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
OS: Linux

OS: Fedora 5 i386
Konqueror version:
-
konqueror -v
Qt: 3.3.5
KDE: 3.5.2-0.1.fc5 Red Hat
Konqueror: 3.5.2-0.2.fc5 Red Hat

Issue:

I've sent this to debian bugs-- but still again this year, I'm testing things out on FC5, and this bugs still exists!

/home/<usrname>/public_html/index.html is getting parsed

I have a local webbrowser running on port 80, but I should typically write
"http://localhost/~usrname/" for this to happen.

I searched the archives, the only other near to this was about 3 years ago -- someone replied about running konqueror in "web browser" mode-- hey I found nothing in the settings about this, but this is v3.5.2 and I thought this bug wouldn't be here. If this is broken, then this poor code section is likely causing problems for other areas, so it's the reason why I'm reporting this as a bug-- I don't think anyone can conceive the url "/" as working in webbrowser mode, that just doesn't make sense. If this is supposed to work like this, please let me know, because I just quite can't see logic behind this..

I should of advocate that this particular folder, and not port 80 was being parsed. How can one turn off this web-mode thing if it's possible?

Sorry, but I cannot understand what you've wrote. Could you explain it better to me?

Thanks.

Maybe this is about the "View / Use index.html" option, which makes konqueror open the index.html file when entering a directory?
