I use Xorg 6.9 with ATI Opensource driver. IMO, the 1280x800 display could be the problem. I already got this type of problem. Thank you for your work for Boson, it's a really nice project! Regards,
The crash with the 0.11 release seem to be not related to the resolution. I've start Boson 0.11 from another computer through a network X without problem (exec on a x86, display on the AMD64 laptop). If Boson run on the laptop and the display on another computer (x86), it still crash.
Fix X first. It's not supposed to crash for any reason.
Hello, Please ignore the second issue. I still have the crash on AMD64. The bug is present in Ubuntu and Debian bugtracker. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=354971 https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/boson-base/+bug/28713 To build the package some patchs are used: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-games/packages/boson/boson-base/trunk/debian/patches/?rev=0&sc=0 Patchs 4 and 5 doesn't change the result.
