Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux If you export records with several lines in Notes, in CSV or vcard formats, all the lines are joined in a single one when you import them later, separated by a ghost character. By the way, it also fails to import Outlook contacts with multiline fields exported as a CSV file. Outlooks exports this fields as several lines, surrounding the entire field with double-quotes, that kaddress seems to ignore and try to interpret the second and next lines as another records, despite having selected double-quotes as quoting character.
In kde 4.1.2 svn trunk 863121, the multiline information is exported using the \n characters as the newline, and they are imported right. The second part is still true, a field with embedded line breaks delimited by double-quote characters is interpreted as several records.
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
