Description Helge Hielscher 2006-01-31 13:13:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Steps to reproduce:
1. point konqueror to a directory with subdirectory or files inside
2. choose tree view
3. select directory
4. copy and paste to kwrite
Result: only the path of the directory is pasted

5. expand the directory
6. collapse the directory
7. copy and paste to kwrite
Result: the path of the directory and the paths of the files/dirs in the directory are pasted
Expected result: only the path of the directory is pasted
Comment 1 Philip Rodrigues 2006-02-01 15:40:16 UTC
I can't reproduce that here with 3.5 branch r496940 on FreeBSD.
Comment 2 Helge Hielscher 2006-02-01 16:17:27 UTC
Do you get the expected result after step 7 and the same result as I did after step 4? Anyway, I am going to retest it once the Mandriva Cooker update to KDE 3.5.1 is complete.
Comment 3 Philip Rodrigues 2006-02-03 18:18:56 UTC
I get just the path of the directory in both cases
Comment 4 Helge Hielscher 2006-02-05 15:25:21 UTC
Aha, one needs to select with Ctrl-A to see the behaviour I described. Philip, can you reproduce it now?
Comment 5 Philip Rodrigues 2006-02-06 17:25:37 UTC
Ah, I see. Yes, I can confirm on r496940 with Ctrl+A (or "select all" from the menus)
Comment 6 Jaime Torres 2008-05-16 18:15:15 UTC
I think it does not apply to 4.x since treeview is not present

KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Feel free to reopen this ticket if this issue is present in KDE 4.
