Version: 0.12.10 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources OS: Linux When copying dvd with same source/dest drive, after reading k3b quits, saying "can't eject...". The /usr/bin/eject command works fine!
Same for me. OS: Debian testing k3b-0.12.12-1 External DVD recorder with USB interface, mount point is /media/cdrom0 and there is a symbolic link /media/cdrom to it. This mount point and symbolic link is default in Debian. # mount .... /dev/scd0 on /media/cdrom0 type iso9660 (ro,noexec,nosuid,nodev,iocharset=utf8,user=alex) eject without parametrs works fine. In my system is not other CD-roms, only external by USB.
I just got the same problem... And the best part is: not only it didn't eject the CD, but it actually *deleted* the 4.4GB image it just created. Why? Obviously, if it failed copying it, for whatever reason, I will want to try again.
this should be fixed now.
Does this fix just the eject problem or the 'deleting image on eject fail' problem too? If just the eject problem has been fixed, might it still be possible for a certain set of circumstances to stop the eject from working - e.g. some other program is reading the disc? Please see bug 130254 - 130254 can either be marked as a duplicate of this one and closed or marked confirmed (I am happy to confirm it) depending on the answer to the above question.
I fixed both. if eject fails the user is prompted to do it manually.
fixed, should be closed
