Description Isaiah Damron 2005-12-23 19:37:54 UTC
Version: 1.4-svn (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: 00

The CollectionBrowser bases the tree expansion path, and the currently selected item on the shown text (the title, if you have a song selected). If you have multiple items with that same text, it'll expand/select the first one, even if you had the second one selected.

Not very important, I don't think.
Comment 2 Ian Monroe 2005-12-23 20:19:26 UTC
Um, why are there multiple items with the same text? Off the top of my head I can't think of how that could happen.
Comment 3 Isaiah Damron 2005-12-23 22:31:41 UTC
Two copies of the same song (maybe different formats); Two artists with the same name for one of their albums (when not grouping by artist); Two songs on a compilation disc that have the same name; Two songs that have the same name in general (when grouping by just artist, year, or genre).

Like I said, it's not very common, nor important, and that's why I marked it as low priority, but it's certainly a bug.

If this is a WONTFIX, then go ahead and mark it as so. I certainly don't think it's that important, but since I spotted something that behaved differently from intended, I figured I'd go ahead and file it.

Well its obviously a problem, just trying to figure out what the problem is.
Comment 6 richlv 2007-02-14 14:12:00 UTC
could you please provide a scenario to observe the problem ?
at best, i got tracks from several artists under single entry when grouping by album only and image of one of the albums (first) shown for all the tracks :)

Closed as WONTFIX due to lack of feedback.
