Description Dominik Karall 2005-10-25 13:18:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

I think if you right click on an image in konqueror the "Bild kopieren" (translated to english: "copy image") is a bit confusing. Firefox names this option as "Copy link location", which fits better imho. "copy image" tells me something like, there will popup a dialog which lets me select a destination folder.

sorry, a little typo crept in :)

Firefox names this option as "Copy image location", not "Copy link location" as mentioned above.

Agreed. KDE 4 will fix this.

Actually (3.5.9 and trunk) use the "copy image" string which make a copy of the image on the clipboard.
If you use the paste action on a text box you will paste the URL, if you paste on a graphic software, like kolourpaint for example, you will paste the image.

It this still a problem?

Konqueror4 now provides "copy image" as well as "save image as" as context menu option on images, where the first one copies to clipboard and the later one brings up the save as dialog.
So i think this can be closed now.

It works both in 3.5.9 and 4.
