Description joaobr 2005-09-28 12:44:40 UTC
Version: 3.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: FreeBSD

this application access the banc account and worked until the bank recently changed something in the application. They have two different versions and they say it depends on Sun or netscape java version installed. Formerly konq worked with the netscape version either with jsdk-1.4.2 or linux-sun-jre-1.4.2 with their netscape version.

The errors I get are
using the SUN Java version
Unidentified error (this is application level)
access denied: java.lang.runtime.permission createclassloader

using Netscape version the application opens but after entering the passwd: not able to open session

If some like to work on this I can send you both versions as tarball in order not needing to go threw the setup process, if you want so (because the java guided install works normally) you can try here: "http://office.bancobrasil.com.br/office/portal/testanavegador.html"

The FreeBSD version does not matter it's the same on 4.11, 5.4 and 6.0, the KDE version I tried is 3.3.x and this 3.4 and no difference and I tried different Java ports and also no difference. Actually I use linux-sun-jdk1.4.2

Anything from my part ask me. Thanks

Comment 2 Sebastian Reitenbach 2006-01-17 13:12:27 UTC
i tried with /etc/alternative/jre linked to /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0-sun, /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0,
/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.4.2-sun and /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.4.2
everytime the same problem. in firefox it works.
Comment 3 joaobr 2006-01-18 21:01:07 UTC
hi, what works with firefox for you? The install or the access after?
Because I just doublechecked and for me it do not work with Firefix either
Comment 4 Sebastian Reitenbach 2006-01-18 21:25:50 UTC
i have firefox 1.0.7, suse rpm
java:
ls -l /etc/alternatives/jre
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 26 2005-12-28 09:10 /etc/alternatives/jre -> /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0-sun
kde 3.5.0
installation works, despite the applet installed only after i had to trust a self signed certificate?!. after install I run:
firefox ~/BancoBrasil/officePLUGIN/index.html
and the login appears.
Comment 5 joaobr 2006-01-19 19:36:24 UTC
I installed jdk1.5 and no chance on Freebsd

I know that linux+firefox works, rhfc4 in my case, but konqueror not
Comment 6 Frank Osterfeld 2006-08-24 12:17:05 UTC
It works here, sun jvm 1.5.0_04, KDE 3.5.4. I can install the app and open the local index.html.
Comment 7 joaobr 2006-08-24 13:51:36 UTC
great to hear this. I will check soon I have time to upgrade to 3.5.4, I am with 3.5.3 and it is not working.

java errors in konqueror from kde 3.5.4
Comment 9 joaobr 2006-09-25 10:29:57 UTC
unfortunatly it is not working, see the error-png I attached before this post
I tried different javas (jdk15, linux-sun-jdk, dibalo-jdk15 and jre15) on kde 3.5.4 but same error as usual
Comment 10 FiNeX 2008-05-05 14:38:11 UTC
It is a bit slow, but it seems working here with JRE 1.6 and konqueror 3.5.9. It doesn't work on Konqueror 4.1 (trunk r802881).

What is the exact component for problems related to the Java plugin?
Comment 11 Lamarque V. Souza 2009-02-06 02:16:40 UTC
Hi all, I also have this problem here with Konqueror 4.2.0 (64 bits) and jre 1.6.0_11-b03 (32 bits). Konqueror 3.5.10 works with this same jre. Disabling security manager does not help here.
Comment 12 Lamarque V. Souza 2009-02-08 08:54:14 UTC
I have noticed that there is no sign signers listed in konqueror's menu -> Settings -> Configure Konqueror -> Cryptography -> SSL Signers. If I import the file /usr/kde/4.2/share/apps/kssl/ca-bundle.crt manually Konqueror imports it without erros but when I close settings dialog and opens it the list is empty again. Konqueror 3.5.10 shows all signers as expected. The strange thing is that https still works with Konqueror 4.2.0, I can even start the login process in "Banco do Brasil" site, but the second stage of the login process gets stuck.

Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams:
This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore.
If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report.
Thank you for your understanding.
