Hi
new kopete 3.4.91 doesn't show /whois information anymore
errors are immediatly shown in active window, success /whois stuff is hidden.
with 3.4.2 all was fine.

greetings from archlinux maintainer

I'm not sure about 3.4.2 version, but it doesn't work in 0.10.3 (whois command in server window) either.

I can reproduce with 0.11.3.
Does Kopete 3.4.x even exist?
Comment 4 manuel.montezelo 2006-08-23 20:47:26 UTC
I can get it to work when I open a dialog with that person, and issue the "/whois nickname" command in the tab of the dialog with the person.

I can also get it to work with RightClick->UserInfo in some channel where that person is present, but again, *only when I have a dialog opened with that person*.

Kopete v0.11.3, KDE v3.5.4

Re: Comment #4
Same here (with same KDE version). To clarify, writing "/whois nickname" doesn't work in a channel where that person is present.
OTOH context menu->User Info works in the query, too.

Still in 0.12.6, revisit for 4.1
