Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20050110 OS: Linux Text links don't work when they're overlayed on areas that are linkable. A good example is here: http://www.alternationstudios.com/forum In the seperate sections for the various sub-forums, you can click anywhere in the surrounding box to go into that sub-forum. However, clicking on the text links in the box brings you to the sub-forum as well, instead of the text link's alternate destination. If I hover over the text link, the status bar properly shows its destination, but clicking it doesn't take me there. I have tried this in Firefox and IE and they both take me to the text link's destination when the text is clicked, not the box area's destination as Konqueror does.
I have a same problem with Tactical Wargames forums http://www.tacticalwargames.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi? The forum background works as link. 'Led by: <name>, <name>, ...' links in names show the correct address in below, but clicking takes to board instead. My version is 3.5.2 Kubuntu (Ubuntus kde version) packages.
Appears to work correctly here on KDE 3.5.5 / Kubuntu 6.10? Are you able to reproduce this bug with 3.5?
Still occurs with KDE 3.5.5 in Gentoo. The Alternation Studios forum doesn't appear to use the background links anymore, but the Tactical Wargames forum still exhibits the behavior.
Thanks for the info Chris, able to confirm now using your instructions. Changing bug status.
Tested on konqueror 4.0.3. The "textual" links are working right.
Thanks FiNeX. Also confirming fixed in 4.0.3/Kubuntu. Anyone from 3.5.9 like to comment for close?
The bug still occurs in 3.5.9/Gentoo for me.
I've just tried Firefox 2, Konqueror 3.5.9 and 4 (trunk, compiled a couple of days ago). All of them follow correctly links.
Just re-tried. It is all ok.
