Description Artemio 2005-05-25 17:34:36 UTC
Version: 3.3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

Try downloading this PDF with konqueror: ttp://www.datasheetarchive.com/datasheet/pdf/59/59273.html - I end up with a 0 Byte file here, while with FireFox I get a full PDF file. Try exporting a table with phpMyAdmin as SQL file - you will end up with an HTML file which is a phpMyAdmin error like "missing what to export", but this works in FireFox. Bloody damn, I don't want to use FireFox! ;-)))

It seems that konqeueror opens a "save as" dialogue, but then when the download starts, it doesn't pass get/post variables to the original URL.

Does your dialog box also say:

Open 'http://www.datasheetarchive.com/get.php'?
Name: datasheetarchive.pdf
Type: application/download

(3.4.0)

What MIME type is that?
Comment 2 Artemio 2005-05-27 08:54:07 UTC
Yes, it is the same application/download here on 3.3.2. But what's the difference? You mean if KDE doesn't know his MIME type it shouldn't download the file? Why FireFox works then?

Cannot reproduce on KDE 3.5.8 and KDE 4.0.3.
Moreover the website seems changed.
