Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809) OS: Linux I tried to add the RSS feed from http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/rss.php. That's the output of the KDE crashmanager: Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". Backtrace is useless and I can't reproduce this.
I can't reproduce it either. I hope he thought of storing a copy of the feed on his hard disc ;-)
The output isn't useless, I really wonder why loadFeeds() is called when adding a feed. Could you describe in detail what you did when it crashed? How did you add the feed? inside of Akregator, or via the icon in Konqueror? If you used the icon, was Akregator already loaded or not?
I added the feed by right klicking on a RSS icon on the website and selecting "Add Feed to aKregator" (or something similar - I'm using the german translation of KDE). As far as I can remember aKregator wasn't running at this time as an application with it's own window but I was running Kontact at this time. I don't know if Kontact automatically starts aKregator in background or not? If this is usefull: I think Kontact displayed the KMail integration view last before I tried to add the feed.
The backtrace looks like akregator wasn't loaded before and crashed on startup, when loading the feed list. Can you reproduce it somehow?
I tried to reproduce it several times, but I wasn't successful. Something I can tell you is, that this happened to me not the first time I've had this problem nearly one time a month. So every month one time.. ;-)
It seems nobody can reproduce this, and version 1.0 is out of date. I close the bug, please reopen if it occurs again.
