Description Cláudio F. Gil 2005-04-05 10:58:53 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre2 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9

At this point akregator never shows new articles. I have several articles, do a "Fetch All" or "Fetch Feed" and no new articles is shown. It is not a case where new titles are not marked as new. It simply does not show new titles.

I've verified and the feed contains new items. I've also deleted the akregator files under .kde (config and apps/akregator).

Just after submiting this I found that wget'ing the feed (what I've done) and "Saving Link As..." from konqueror produced diferent files. So I disabled konqueror cache in akregator settings and it now works fine.

PS: I will convert this to a wish list.

Please specify the feed URL you want to fetch if this happens only with a specific feed.

Perhaps this could also be a duplicate of bug #102832.

I have the same problem. When cache is enabled, akregator never fetches new articles (not at startup and not when doing "Fetch Feed" or "Fetch All"). When cache is disabled, it works as expected. It's not a problem of a specific feed.

I think (but I'm not sure) that it also worked when I had not used akregator for a while (perhaps the cache expired in the meantime?).

This is in KDE 3.4.1
