Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux KDE 3.4.0 SuSE RPMs for 9.2 After updating from 3.3.2a to 3.4.0 all my done todos are lost (no more shown in the todo list). It's nice to have a feature to save done todos in the journal. But it seems this is for current (undone) todos not for past done todos. So now i'm missing my "done's". There is no more option to select which kind of todos (done/undone/both) are shown. AFAIK an entry in the journal assumes that i know on which day i closed my todo. So - where can i find my past done todos?
In summary screen already done todos are shown for the day they where planed to be done latest. A todo which was time-phased and resolved to an earlier date is shown on the summary screen. But only when kontact is invoked with "--module summaryplugin". Switching forth and back a (plugin) view, the done todo is gone. So i think the old done todos still exists. But - where?
Errata: you have to switch to one of the korganizer plugins (organizer, todos, journal). Kmail or knotes doesn't change anything.
Created attachment 10229 [details] Screenshot shows summary screen with done (terminated) todo On this screenshot you can see 2 todos. The one with "100%" was complettly done on Sat., 19. but terminated to be done latest on Mon., 21. This is after initialy loading kontact showing the summuary screen.
Created attachment 10230 [details] Screenshot shows todo screen when switched to from summary view This screenshot shows the todo list after switching from the summary screen to the todo list. You can see the open todo for this day and an todo in the future. The done (100%) todo isn't listed.
Created attachment 10231 [details] Screenshot shows summary screen when switched back from todo list This screenshot shows the scenario when switching back from the todo list to the summary view. Now the view is like expected.
Found the (admittedly good hidden) filter settings for viewing done todos :-( But the wrong view in the summary view still exists.
Still an issue in KDE 3.5.5?
*** Bug 122520 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I just updated to KDE 3.5.5 on a Gentoo System and the bug still exists. I have one todo starting at Dec,5th 2006 and ending at Dec,12th 2006. Although I selected 'hide inactive to-dos' in my default filter settings, the todo is shown in summary view until I switch to a KOrganizer view as described in comment #2.
Yes, on KDE 3.5.5 on SuSE 9.3 and 10.1 the bug still exists.
I can't reproduce this issue in kontact 1.3 svn trunk r865463 (KDE 4.1.68). Steps I followed: - Create a new todo withing the next 7 days and set it to be done 100% - In summary view settings select the todo list to be able to show done items. - While you are in summary view and you can see the todo, switch to calendar or todo part and then back to summary. - The todo is still there. I hope I tested this right...
The test seems to do the neccessary steps. But as we run on a production system (in the meantime CentOS, no longer SuSE) i cannot confirm, if the problem on 4.x is done. But if you can't reproduce it, it may be gone.
