Description Jens 2005-03-03 23:36:57 UTC
Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.11-default

Hello,

I have a *.class file open in one Konqueror tab. *.class is associated with the Java viewer applet by default, but in this case it's a PHP file and it got opened in the Kate KPart within Konqueror.

When I drag the tab to another (existing) tab, to open this file a second time, the file gets opened in the Java applet viewer (the default view action for the file). I think this is wrong. The viewer that is used should be the same as in the first tab.

It would be great if this could be changed.

Thank you! :)

Jens

I can confirm the behaviour described with SVN r575787, although I'm not sure what the intended behaviour is (the current behaviour doesn't seem too unreasonable).

Do you still see this behavior in konqueror 4.x?

Closing this bug due to no response of the reporter and silence for 2,5 years. If this still is an issue, this bug can be reopened, of course.
