Version: 1.0-beta10 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          gcc 3.4.1
OS:                Linux

Hello,

I've installed akregator 1.0 beta10 and it does'nt show feeds anymore. I watched on feeds.opml, I get that :

$ ls -alh feeds.opml
-rw-r--r--  1 lolo users 3,1K fév 17 18:58 feeds.opml

$ file feeds.opml
feeds.opml: UTF-8 Unicode English text, with very long lines

An extract of it :

<opml version="1.0" >
 <head>
  <text>aKregator Feeds</text>
 </head>
 <body>
  <outline isOpen="true" text="KDE" >
   <outline htmlUrl="http://akregator.sf.net/" title="Akregator News" maxArticleAge="0" fetchInterval="0" maxArticleNumber="0" archiveMode="globalDefault" version="RSS" type="rss" xmlUrl="http://akregator.sf.net/rss2.php" autoFetch="false" text="Akregator News" description="Akregator Feed Reader" />
....
  </outline>
 </body>
</opml>

I've tried to remove this file to make akregator generate a new one without success.

Does the feeds.opml contain your own feeds or are there only the standard KDE feeds in it?
Do you use the standalone akregator or the kontact plugin?
If you use the kontact plugin, could you try if starting the standalone binary makes a difference?
Comment 2 lrathle 2005-02-17 21:03:56 UTC

I've got some feeds of my own.

I use it as a kontact plugin. When I use it as a stand alone application I see the feeds.
Comment 3 Frank Osterfeld 2005-02-17 23:44:17 UTC
There was a bug in the tarballs preventing the kontact plugin from being
built. So I guess you had an old kontact plugin installed causing a version
mismatch. I updated the tarballs, please check if it solves the problem.

This is now fixed in the new tarballs, other users confirmed that it works now. Reopen if you still encounter the problem.
