Description Yan Morin 2005-01-30 00:24:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

1. Load a .txt file on internet like
http://www.cowboysfringants.com/partition/toune_dautomne.txt
in Konqueror.
KatePart View should load inside Konqueror.

2. When the download is completed, the animated icon stop
(I think it's http://lxr.kde.org/source/kdebase/konqueror/konq_mainwindow.cc#L4028 )
But the status bar message isn't refreshed or remove.

KonqView loading:
http://lxr.kde.org/source/kdebase/konqueror/konq_view.cc#L530 ?

in kde 3.5.4 the status bar continously displays "transfering data.." in most cases, not always. hit reload if it doesnt "work" in the first place. -> confirming.

Confirmed in 3.5.9 and trunk (r607699).

Hi! Can you reproduce this bug using KDE SC 4.3.4 or KDE SC 4.4 beta 1?
Comment 4 Yan Morin 2009-12-05 16:19:44 UTC
Hi, I can't test it. I don't use KDE, Kate and Konqueror anymore.
Comment 5 FiNeX 2009-12-05 17:47:38 UTC
Thanks anyway Yan :-)

After some try, I've partially reproduced the bug in KDE SC 4.4 beta1: the "waiting for answer..." message in the status bar is displayed for about 20 seconds after the file has been loaded. But "transferring data" is correctly not visible. So I think this bug can be closed as worksforme.

Seems to work fine for me too (4.3.2/Kubuntu 9.10).
