Description Jim Higson 2005-01-25 19:39:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

If a session is active, and being monitored for activity, hiding the panel will sometimes cause the "Activity in session shell" to appear, although there is no activity in the shell.

This happens particularly if Konsole has been minimised or restored recently, although I can't find a completely reproducible way to find this.

I have the notifications set to use a passive window.

Can't reproduce; please upgrade to KDE 3.5.x

Bug still there and easily reproducible with KDE 4.8.5 (in Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS).

HOW TO REPRODUCE:

1. Start the kde "Analog Clock" (I think this is the plasma clock). Configure to show the sweep second hand. Move the clock so it overlaps the panel bar.

2. In a terminal, start vim and start typing characters.

A pop-up "Activity in session 'Shell'" appears constantly while you type
